Apple Turnovers

If you're looking for a quick breakfast pastry, these are great. My mom use to bake these all the time when I lived at home. They're so simple and tasty. Apple filling is wrapped in a flaky pastry dough, baked and then drizzled with a glaze. They come in cherry and apple.

I grated fresh nutmeg on top after I glazed them to give them something extra.

Just Awful

As I was browsing the soup isle at Whole Foods, I decided to pick up this can of chicken soup. Why I choose this brand and kind I don't know. This soup was bad. It was 90 percent toilet water and 10 percent chewy rice. There were a few shreds of chicken and some mushy carrots floating around, but that's about it. At $2.35 a can, I won't be buying it again, nor would I recommend you waste your money either.
Still being hungry however; I ate two cookies with some milk and I am feeling much better.

Yummy Veggie Burgers

I forgot I had these as I pulled them out of the freezer. I wasn't sure how Indian flavored veggie burgers would be, but they were delicious. I fried them in a little olive oil as recommended and they were crispy on the outside and hearty and flavorful on the inside. You can pick some up at Trader Joe's if you have one in your area. They are good on there own or sandwiched in a bun.
