These clusters are such an easy and tasty treat to whip up and you probably have the simple ingredients on hand. They reminded me of the cornflake and butterscotch globs I use to make as a kid! (Those were really yummy too. I'll have to make those and post the recipe soon!)
Anyway...
If you like the combination of peanut butter and chocolate, then try these quick, no-bake oatmeal clusters. It's hard not keep picking up another yummy bite!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Clusters
Ingredients
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 stick butter
1/2 cup milk
1 cup peanut butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 cups oatmeal
Waxed paper
Directions
In a heavy saucepan bring to a boil, the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Let boil for 1 minute then add peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal. On a sheet of waxed paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls, until cooled and hardened.
* I cut the recipe in half and it made around 20 bite-sized clusters.
Update:
* I had some neighbors that made these and they needed some chilling time in the freezer to set-up. It's very humid here so that could be the issue. Cutting back on the sugar and adding a scoop more peanut butter may help too!
