February Cooking Club: 2010

Theme: Cooking Class with Marguerite Henderson
We ventured out this month and took a private group cooking class with local cook Marguerite Henderson. We choose a custom menu from her website and then gathered around her quaint kitchen and sipped wine while Marguerite prepped and cooked all the food. It was very relaxing and tasty evening.
Lemon Basil Quinoa
A fresh and healthy summer salad that is very versatile. This was very good.
Meyer Lemon Panna Cotta
By the time we got to dessert we were absolutely stuffed, but we managed to make room for this creamy Italian dessert. This was actually light and perfect after a heavy meal. Loved the subtle meyer lemon flavor.
Veal and Porcunni Lasagne
Very tasty and hearty lasagne. The veal can be substituted with another ground meat or it can be made all vegetarian.
Roasted Pork over Mango Rice
Lots of different flavors in this tropical dish. Very good!

We also enjoyed lamb pitas, lime cookies and some good wine.
