I usually don't make chocolate chip cookies, but I also didn't have a great recipe for them. Until now...
This recipe comes from local food blogger, Annalise at completelydelicious.com
These baked up nice and crispy on the outside (think golden brown, buttery, crisp goodness when you bite into it) and chewy (with gooey chocolate) in the middle. They're everything a 'best' chocolate chip cookie should be.
My little girl and I also made a mini M and M version and these were super tasty too! Very hard too not eat just one!
The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies 1/2 cup butter flavored Crisco (this is for texture)
3/4 cup butter (this is for taste)
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp molasses
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Sift together dry ingredients, set aside. In a large mixing bowl beat butter, shortening and sugars until combined. Add eggs, one at a time mixing until incorporated. Add in vanilla and molasses. Stir in dry mixture until just combined and moistened. Add chocolate chips and spoon by large tablespoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
