Our Critique

Both cupcakes had a very subtle flavor and if you didn't know the name of the cupcake you might not be able to guess what you were eating. The lemon curd cupcake was a vanilla cupcake with a layer of lemon curd on top and piped lemon frosting. It had a great lemon color, just no lemon flavor. I was really surprised and slightly disappointed.
The pineapple coconut was a vanilla (at least it tasted like it) cake with whipped cream frosting which was different and nice. But again, no real hints of pineapple or coconut. Odd.

The sugar cookie was pretty good. Nice and soft, but fairly plain. The turtle pecan cookie was rich and loaded with caramel and chocolate frosting. Very tasty. Hard to eat though as the cookie was hard and the caramel was super chewy.

The surprise favorite was the sweet potato dessert. It was awesome! We both really enjoyed this. A piping hot sweet potato is roughly mashed and mixed with brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans and topped with a large scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. It was really different and really tasty.

Ambiance:
A dessert lounge vibe. Spacious rooms with plenty of seating and fun decor. Very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Upbeat music. A great place to hang out and enjoy a special treat.

Pros:
Fabulous ambiance. Great for kids.
Nice selection of desserts and beverages.
Locally owned

Cons:
Desserts were good, but not fantastic.
Staff wasn't very enthusiastic about desserts and didn't make any recommendations.

Rundown
We'll definitely go back because we enjoyed the atmosphere so much and also to try a slice of cherub cake and the caramel chocolate cupcake (I found out these were the favorites after I got home and looked up some reviews).

They have a limited selection of beverages, so if you want more than a cup of plain coffee, BYO.
