Cooking Club: June

Picnic Fare and Campfire Favorites
Chris (host): Roast Beef Sandwiches and Chips
Gale: Corn and Jalapeno Salad
Jodi: Shrimp Skewers / Avocado Salsa
Sarah: Sausage and Pepper Kabobs

We took our cooking soiree outdoors and headed up Mill Creek Canyon for a lovely picnic. Chris hosted  this one and went up early Sunday morning to reserve a picnic table and set up the picnic site. She set out camping chairs, brought up wood for a fire, put out a table cloth with a vase of fresh roses, and all the other camping frippery...she did an awesome job. Thanks Chris.
We started out with avocado and hominy salsa and then we fired up the grill!
First up: Herbed Shrimp and Pepper Skewers. Delicious.
Then some super tasty Sausage Kabobs with roasted red peppers stuffed with feta. Oh yeah.
There was also roast beef sandwiches with homemade blue cheese sauce and a refreshing bean and corn salad. To finish off our picnic, we enjoyed gooey, buttery caramel bars.
