Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie

This is such a simple and quick dessert to throw together! What's not to love about a buttery, flakey crust filled with yummy chocolate chip cookie dough and baked into a delicious pie? Especially when it's hot out of the oven and topped with a scoop of cold ice cream or freshly whipped cream. So good!
Recipe Source: Hershey's

Chocolate Chip Pie
Ingredients
1 unbaked 9-inch (4-cup volume) deep-dish pie shell
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup (6 oz.) Chocolate Chip
1 cup chopped nuts
Sweetened whipped cream or ice cream (optional)
Directions
PREHEAT oven to 325° F.

BEAT eggs in large mixer bowl on high speed until foamy. Beat in flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Beat in butter. Stir in morsels and nuts. Spoon into pie shell.

BAKE for 55 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.

My Notes:
This pie will still be gooey in the middle at 60 minutes (at least mine was). So, if a gooey cookie dough pie topped with ice cream sounds heavenly, then by all means serve this hot out of the oven. If you want it to set-up and be able to cut it into nice slices, let it cool completely or even overnight. Then you can warm it before topping with ice cream, etc.

The chocolate chips sink to the bottom, so sprinkle some more on top halfway through baking if you want chocolate chips throughout.
