I was searching for a sweet holiday-ish confection to make the other night and I thought something gingerbread or eggnog flavored would be appropriate, but I was missing a few key ingredients. So, I came upon this recipe at allrecipes.com and it got rave reviews from more than 2,000 people, so I decided to give it shot. Cinnamon is a holiday spice right?

. I rolled half the dough balls in freshly grated nutmeg after the cinnamon sugar coating and I really liked the flavor it gave the baked cookies. I also tried adding cinnamon chips into the dough. All variations were yummy, but the cinnamon and sugar with a hint of nutmeg was my favorite.
