Melt-In-Your-Mouth Jam Thumbprints

These cookies are buttery and delicious and truly do melt in your mouth. I make them all year long for various gatherings and everyone gobbles them up. They are so quick and easy to whip up and they taste amazing on their own or with any type of jam or jelly.

Since butter is the main ingredient and flavor, using a higher quality butter instead of a generic brand, tastes the best.

1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup raspberry jam

Preheat oven to 375. In a medium bowl, beat butter 30 seconds. Beat in sugar until combined, scraping sides of bowl. Beat in flour. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press your thumb into center of each ball to make an indentation. Bake 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly brown. Cool on rack. Just before serving, fill each center with 1 teaspoon jam. Makes 3 dozen
